OPAL HDx™ Mapping System

OPAL HDx™ Mapping System

OPAL HDx provides integrated mapping for both RF and pulsed field ablation procedures while giving enhanced access to the capabilities of the FARAPULSE™ Pulsed Field Ablation System. Offering a complete range of mapping solutions, OPAL HDx allows you to choose the treatment modality that best meets your case needs.

Boston Scientific welcomes our RHYTHMIA HDx™ customers to the OPAL HDx Mapping System, a full-spectrum mapping experience at the leading edge of PFA.

Full-spectrum cardiac mapping

The OPAL HDx™ Mapping System enables visualisation of the catheter during FARAPULSE™ Pulsed Field Ablation System procedures in the treatment of atrial fibrillation. The OPAL HDx system also provides ultra-HD cardiac mapping in support of conventional ablation procedures and integration with our portfolio of RF catheters.

Integrated cardiac mapping for FARAPULSE™ PFA workflows

The FARAVIEW™ Software Module is designed to let operators visualize and confirm pulsed field applications while unlocking workflow simplicity. The FARAVIEW Software Module is available only on the OPAL HDx Mapping System, and fully integrates with the FARAPULSE PFA system using the FARAWAVE™ NAV PFA catheter.

Conventional mapping

Combining signal-processing hardware, data-processing algorithms and analysis software with the high-fidelity EGM capture of the INTELLAMAP ORION™ Mapping Catheter, OPAL HDx is designed to provide unparalleled HD cardiac mapping in conventional cardiac ablation procedures.

The mapping solution for the FARAPULSE Pulsed Field Ablation System

The FARAVIEW Software Module on the OPAL HDx system is designed to give physicians enhanced ability to visualize pulsed field ablations.

Single-catheter solution

Map and ablate with a single magnetically tracked PFA catheter. The FARAWAVE NAV Pulsed Field Ablation Catheter is designed to minimize catheter exchanges.

Dynamic visualisation

Visualize pulsed field delivery and fine-tune your ablation strategy by visualising catheter shape, rotation, and transitions in real-time.

Automated pulse field tagging

Evaluate field volume, see the intersection of field with anatomy, and automatically tag areas where PFA is detected.

Conventional HD mapping and RF capabilities

Built off of the RHYTHMIA HDx cardiac mapping system, the OPAL HDx mapping toolset captures and annotates high-fidelity EGM signals, providing a more complete understanding of the electrical circuit.

Localization of Arrhythmias

Intellanav orion: Designed to work with the OPAL HDx™.  The Orion catheter is a bidirectional deflectable, multielectrode, mini-basket mapping catheter. The catheter provides 180-degree maneuverability and 28 mm range.

Rapid identification of areas of clinical interest

Continuous mapping employs four Beat Triggers and seven Beat Acceptance Criteria to ensure that only beats from the rhythm of interest are captured. With the system’s LUMIPOINT™ Software Module, physicians can classify EGMs by zone of activation and across cycle length, use rapid late potential reannotation, and pinpoint potential critical isthmuses.

RF ablation delivery with contact force catheters

Compatible with the OPAL HDx Mapping System, the INTELLANAV STABLEPOINT™ Ablation Catheter combines the power of contact force and local impedance to give you dynamic insights at and below the cardiac tissue surface.
