ANZ Womens Network: EMPOWHER - maximizing the company’s performance through the empowerment and advancement of women and their allies

Our global employee resource groups (ERGs) are at the heart of our diverse, equitable and inclusive culture. Our nine global ERGs are formed across specific dimensions of diversity to offer employees important opportunities to meet, learn and grow outside their day-to-day jobs. Each group has an executive sponsor who champions their work and ERG global leaders meet quarterly with the Boston Scientific Executive Committee and DE&I team members on our Global Council for Inclusion.

The EMPOWHER Women’s Network promotes an inclusive culture by advocating for gender equality, fostering valuable connections, and providing opportunities to support their career development through education, mentoring, support networks to encourage and accelerate their learning and growth. Globally there are 20 EMPOWHER chapters.

The ANZ Womens Network - EMPOWHER started in 2020 with the intent to provide an inclusive culture and structured approach, with accountability for executing our ANZ Gender Equality (DEI) strategy, through engagement, governance, measurement and communication.

Driven by four key pillars of Community Outreach, Global Professional Development, Life Work Integration and Inclusive Program, we strive to foster an environment where all members and those involved are inspired to make an impact.

Our activities range from mentorship programs, keynote speakers on topics such as finance, confidence and well-being, courage, leadership and others. Charity drives and walks, supporting the local community, book clubs and more.

We are proud to have built a strong community and meaningful connections within the organization in a short period of time, should you wish to be involved or learn more in either the ERG groups, committee or the Inclusive Alliance Committee please contact us.
